Dutch tech giant ASML to expand in Hutto

By KVUE Austin

A global semiconductor company will be expanding its presence in Central Texas.

Dutch firm ASML will be opening a new office in the city of Hutto with more than 100 employees. The company specializes in manufacturing equipment used to produce computer chips.

The 35,000-square-foot space will be located in the Hutto Co-Op District on Highway 79, the same area where city hall is located. The Co-Op District is comprised of a mixed-use, walkable area including retail, entertainment, restaurants and community spaces.

The move comes as Central Texas’ semiconductor industry continues to grow with Samsung finishing its semiconductor plant just a few miles away in Taylor.

ASML currently operates an office in Austin and another site in Dallas. Officials have not announced when ASML will open in Hutto.

Semiconductor Supplier ASML to Open in Hutto Co-Op District

By Community Impact

Global semiconductor equipment maker ASML will become the first office tenant in office space at The Hutto Co-Op District, marking another addition to Central Texas’ fast-growing tech and manufacturing region.

MA Partners, the developer behind The Hutto Co-Op, announced that ASML will lease more than 32,000 square feet of office space and about 2,100 square feet of rooftop terrace in a new four-story building, according to a news release.

What you need to know

ASML, based in the Netherlands, makes the high-tech machines, software and services that help companies like Samsung and Intel produce computer chips. Its technology uses light to print small patterns on silicon, a process known as lithography.

ASML already operates several offices and facilities across the U.S., including sites in Connecticut, Arizona, California and Texas.

The new Hutto location will expand the company’s U.S. footprint, aligning with Central Texas’ growing role in the semiconductor industry.

Hutto Mayor Mike Snyder said the company’s arrival complements the region’s tech expansion.

“This is a great complement to the Prologis and Skybox Data Center Campus, spanning over 220 acres, and the new Tesla industrial building covering 35,000 square feet. We are a growing community with 54 languages spoken, and the diversity of career opportunities, people and cultures in Hutto has helped make this a highly desirable location for companies seeking to establish a footprint or expand their operations in Central Texas,” Snyder said in a press release.

The Co-Op District, which also houses Hutto City Hall and the public library, features restaurants, retail and event space designed to create a walkable downtown hub.

Officials have not yet announced when ASML will open its Hutto offices.

Billion-Dollar Dutch Semiconductor Supplier ASML Takes Office Space in Hutto

By Austin Business Journal

ASML Holding N.V., a Dutch semiconductor supplier that is one of the most valuable companies in Europe, has inked a nearly 35,000-square-foot office lease in Hutto, one of the fastest-growing cities in the country.

The company, which is widely known as ASML and shortened from Advanced Semiconductor Materials Lithography, is taking 32,442 square feet of rentable building area and 2,158 square feet of roof terrace space in the 70,000-square-foot office building in the Hutto Co-Op District, according to an Oct. 29 announcement from the city.

ASML (Nasdaq: ASML) specializes in the development and manufacturing of photolithography machines, which are used to produce integrated circuits. The company currently has a market capitalization of $416 billion, and in 2024 was valued at $264 billion, making it one of the most valuable companies in Europe.

It also works closely with Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd., which is deep in construction of its massive factory in Taylor just a few miles away.

ASML plans to employ more than 100 people at the Hutto site, with a focus on customer support operations. It currently has a location at 201 West Howard Lane, Suite 300, in Austin, which will not be impacted by the Hutto site, and a number of sites throughout Texas. ASML representatives did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

“We are thrilled that ASML has chosen Hutto and the Co-Op District as a home for its continued innovative work in the semiconductor industry,” Bob Wunsch of Carrollton-based MA Partners LLC, the developer of the 35-acre Co-Op District, said in a statement. “Our goal is to create a mixed-use destination that features dining, shopping, entertainment, workspace and residences — all within one truly authentic Hutto setting.”

Hutto Mayor Mike Snyder added that the project is a complement to other big industrial projects in the city, which has a population of about 43,000. That includes the first 220-acre data center campus from Dallas-based Skybox Datacenters LLC and San Francisco-based Prologis Inc., as well as Tesla Inc.’s 35,000-square-foot industrial building in the city.

“We are a growing community with 54 languages spoken, and the diversity of career opportunities, people and cultures in Hutto has helped make this a highly desirable location for companies seeking to establish a footprint or expand their operations in Central Texas,” Snyder said in a statement.

It also marks a potentially large employer setting up shop in Hutto, and specifically the Hutto Co-Op District. MA Partners was picked more than a half-decade ago as master developer of the project to turn the former agricultural site into a vibrant mixed-use district adjacent to the city’s historic downtown. That has included new a City Hall and library, along with other public spaces, along with a wealth of retail sites that are now home to the likes of Southside Market, Top Notch Burgers and Jack Allen’s Kitchen, and a new six-story parking garage.

While future phases are set to include more retail, multifamily elements, entertainment options and hotels, Wuensch previously told the Austin Business Journal that developers broke ground early on the office building after being approached by an unidentified Fortune 500 tenant. It turns out that tenant was ASML.

ASML leaves the office with 17,000 square feet of office space available on the fourth floor and 9,000 square feet of retail space on the ground floor. The office was designed by Hip.Hop.Design Studio.

Central Texas is home to so many diverse and dynamic communities with so much to explore! In this edition of “Out and About” Trevor Scott and Sierra Waggoner took the show on the road for a very special episode live on location in Hutto! The stunning Hutto Co-Op District was the setting for this hour of We Are Austin.

At the heart of one of Central Texas’ fastest-growing communities, the Hutto Co-Op District is redefining what it means to live, work, and play in a small town.

Built on the historic site of the original Hutto Co-Op, which dates back to 1937, the 35-acre mixed-use development blends local heritage with modern convenience.

Brandon Wunsch, Lead Broker with MA Partners, shared insight with Sierra Waggoner on what makes the space so special.

“The silos at the entrance date all the way back to 1937, when this area was home to the original agricultural cooperative where local farmers came to sell their crops,” said Brandon Wunsch, Lead Broker with MA Partners. “They were originally used for storage, and we knew we wanted to preserve that history. So we carefully relocated them, and that’s why they still stand here today—honoring Hutto’s agricultural roots.”

Now home to Hutto City Hall and the Hutto Public Library, the Co-Op District has grown into a walkable destination featuring restaurants, retail, office space, and community gathering spots. Flagship tenants include Jack Allen’s Kitchen, Southside Market & Barbecue, Top Notch Hamburgers, and Casa Jalisco Sports Bar & Grill—making it a must-visit for food lovers.

The district also features Kilwin’s, Boba Tea, AT&T, and Refuel, adding to the variety of retail options.

“We’ve just completed our new four-story office building, which spans over 66,000 square feet,” said Wunsch. “We’re excited to announce that a major technology firm will be moving into the building soon—details coming shortly. We also expect to see additional office space built out over the next year or two as demand grows.”

“On the residential side, we’ve got three apartment projects planned that will bring between 900 and 1,000 new units to the Co-Op District. Those developments are expected to break ground in the coming months,” Wunsch added. noting the ongoing demand for both retail and office space in the growing Hutto market.

Beyond dining and shopping, the Co-Op District offers paved walking trails, ponds, a splash pad, and a vibrant Town Green—host to public events like the Hutto Farmers Market, Hutto Market Days, Olde Tyme Days, and Movies in the Park.

“We’ve got it all—the Town Green, dog parks, walking trails—the whole nine yards,” said Brandon Wunsch, Lead Broker with MA Partners. “And once construction wraps up, we’ll be bringing back weekday movie nights, weekend concerts, and of course, our farmers markets. We really want this to be a place where the people of Hutto can come, hang out, and enjoy their day.”

“The overall goal is to make the Co-Op District the heart of Hutto—a true downtown entertainment hub where everyone feels welcome. We believe it’s going to be a huge benefit to the entire community,” Wunsch added.

As Hutto continues to grow, the Co-Op District stands as a model for thoughtful development that honors the past while embracing the future. For more information, visit huttocoopdistrict.com or contact MA Partners.
