Starting Thursday, October 15, residents of Williamson County won’t have to drive to Elgin for Southside Market & Barbeque‘s legendary smoked meats. The famous barbecue restaurant’s brand new Hutto location is nearly ready to open its doors at 106 Co-Op Blvd. A legend since 1882, Southside is the oldest BBQ joint in Texas. They pride themselves on meats “slow-smoked over real Texas post oak wood.” While the original Southside Market in Elgin only offers dine-in and carry-out options, the Hutto location will also feature a convenient drive through option.
The restaurant posted a flyer announcing the opening to the Southside Market & Barbeque Hutto location’s facebook page today along with the following message to the community:
Y’all, we are so thrilled to be opening our doors in Hutto, TX! This location has been a work in progress for quite some time, and we appreciate all of the support & enthusiasm from our amazing Southside fans! In the words of our own Bryan Bracewell, “Southside Market is our family history, our legacy, our everything. We are excited to serve and meet our new neighbors. When selecting where to open our fourth location, we feel very blessed to have found another community of kindred spirits in the City of Hutto.” We look forward to seeing you!
